Nautical Weekend Getaway!
June 8-10, 2008
Arrive at Acorn Hollow B&B on Sunday, June 8, 2008 for two nights.
Visit Horton's Point Lighthouse and explore our picturesque seaport village nearby where you will relax & enjoy a flight of wine & cheese platter at VINe, the East End's hottest new wine bar.
On Monday, June 9, 2008 we will provide tickets for the much anticipated, annual cruise on the fabulous high speed catamaran "Jessica W". You will visit ten (10) lighthouse sites. The vessel is equipped with comfortable, modern airline-style seating on two enclosed air-conditioned passenger decks, and a state-of-the-art motion-control system for smooth travel in all sea conditions.
The cruise includes continental breakfast, catered lunch, beverages featuring Pellegrini wines, historical narration, and special discount coupons from village merchants and restaurants. Lighthouses to be seen include Long Beach Bar, Orient Point, Plum Island, Little Gull, Race Rock, New London Ledge, North Dumpling, Latimer Reef, Watch Hill, and Gardiner's Point (location of former lighthouse and fort).
This cruise of Long Island's East End lighthouses is to raise funds for the preservation and restoration of the offshore lighthouses of Southold Town.
